Amazing! I know firsthand how difficult it is to get that type of production from a pond. Kudos to you, sir!
I'm glad to hear the invitation still stands. Have not got out much in the last couple of months except my home waters around Gardner. Been busy with upcoming wedding and other stuff, plus continued soreness in my right knee which I'm now concerned about.

Our fish were stocked three years and three months ago. They have done better than I expected. During the past two weeks we have caught and released three more over 1.5# and two at 1.75#. Both of those exceed the private pond listing in the LA Fishing Records if my scale is accurate. Ignore the cheesy photo, my stepson took it to send to a friend. He is 6 foot 5.5 inches tall with big hands. He caught the first 1.75# bluegill in this photo while I was giving him fly casting lessons along with a 2.5# bass on the 2wt. It measured 10.75 inches. He caught the second 1.75# fish yesterday while fishing with our 5 year old granddaughter on crickets. Our granddaughter caught a 1.5# fish. I rarely fish the pond and mostly supervise the culling. :)
We are working on a way to transport fish to a state inspected scale for official weighing when we get some closer to 2.0# that will enable us to keep them alive so we can release them back into the pond.

What a gorgeous gobbule! Sounds like your pond is really doing well. Yes, I'd love to go by sometime. In part, to hook a few of those big ones on my 3-weight. But as important, to check over your pond. I still manage a couple of ponds, and will be working with my sister's pond at their new house. I'm always trying to learn how to maximize productively (both size and numbers).

Catch.
Been awhile. Still having back and leg issues which has laid me low for a year or so. Should have all sorted out by fall and back up and running.
Had a family gathering yesterday and they did some fishing. I handled the netting, weighing and culling. Forty or so fish caught with 14 ending up in the "eatin' bucket."
Top four bluegill weighed it at 1.38#, 1.40#, 1.40# and a new pond record of 1.53#. The attached photo is a 10.5 in, 1.38# specimen caught and released a few days ago by the bride.
You get up North Louisiana sometime, holler, and bring flyrod. We'll let you have go at 'um.
